Rodogyl side effects

Rodogyl has a combination of both spiramycin and metronidazole. As a result, patients may experience side effects from both spiramycin and metronidazole.

Side effects due to spiramycin

  • Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. In some cases, pseudomembranous colitis may occur (although very rarely).
  • Causes rash, hives on the skin, itching.

  • Occasionally, transient paresthesia occurs.

Side effects of metronidazole

  • Epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
