1. What is Spasfon?

The effect of Spasfon is due to the lysis of spasms on smooth muscle fibers, so it relieves pain.

Spasfon is available in the form of tablets, sublingual tablets, suppositories or injections. The drug belongs to the antispasmodic group, in which the active ingredient trimethylphloroglucinol and phloroglucinol hydrate are 40 mg.

The effect of the drug is due to the lysis of spasms on smooth muscle fibers, which relieves pain.

2. Uses of Spasfon

Spasfon is indicated in several cases:

  • Symptomatic treatment of pain caused by disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and biliary tract
  • Treatment of pain due to acute urethral spasm and renal-related abdominal pain
  • Symptomatic treatment of acute pain in gynecology

4. Instructions for taking Spasfon

4.1. Dosage

For young children

  • Use sublingual tablets only
  • Take 2 capsules/day

4.2. How to use

For oral tablets, you should take them after eating. As for the lozenge, you should suck it up until it dissolves completely and then swallow it!

For the injectable form, you should be given an injection by a healthcare professional to ensure your own safety.
