How should Diamicron MR be used effectively?

Who should not take the diabetes drug Diamicron MR?

Diamicron is contraindicated when:

  • Hypersensitivity to gliclazide or to any of the excipients, other sulfonylurea drugs, sulfonamides, etc.
  • Type 1 diabetes
  • Diabetic pre-coma or coma: diabetic ketoacidosis
  • Severe kidney or liver failure (insulin recommended)
  • Treatment with Miconazole
  • Breastfeeding.

Common side effects

Hypoglycemia
