How to take Zyx

User manual

Use orally.

Under no circumstances should you bite, chew or crush the tablet before taking it. Swallow the tablet whole with filtered or boiled water.

Time of use: Can be taken with or without meals.

Amount

Dosage depends on the type of disease:

• Seasonal allergic rhinitis: 1 tablet / time / day, stop when the symptoms are gone, can continue when the symptoms recur. 
• Persistent allergic rhinitis (symptoms > 4 days/week, lasting > 4 weeks): 1 tablet/time/day for 6 months combined with limiting patient exposure to allergens.
• Urticaria and chronic allergic rhinitis: Take 1 tablet once a day for 1 year.
• In patients with renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted according to the individual patient's renal creatinine clearance.

Dealing with drug overdose, missed dose

Missed dose: Take as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your usual dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose. 

Overdose: The drug affects the central nervous system, causing confusion, dizziness, headache, mild sedation, drowsiness. Use in pregnant and lactating women:

• Pregnancy: The safety of levocetirizine in pregnant women has not been established. There is little clinical evidence for its use in this population. Animal studies have shown no adverse effects on pregnancy, embryo/fetal development or postnatal development. Check with your doctor before taking the medicine to make sure it's safe.
• Lactation: Since cetirizine is an isomer of levocetirizine that has been reported to be present in human milk, levocetirizine is also expected to be present in breast milk. However, to be on the safe side, the drug should only be used when prescribed by a doctor.

For drivers and machine operators:
